Christmas 2011: what was/ is /will it be like?
23rd December
Dear Diary,
I hope Christmas 2011 to be different. I hope it to be perfect. Families all gathered around the table on Christmas Day.
24th December
Dear Diary,
Today is Christmas and the house is decorated with all the stuff of Christmas. The table is ready. It’s beautiful. It’s all set. I’m waiting for my family to arrive, so that we can start having dinner.
I played the whole afternoon with my cousin Sofia.
26th December
Dear Diary,
This was the best Christmas! I spent some great time with my family. I loved all my presents.

Hello dear Christmas
Today is Christmas. I’m on the sofa caring for my brother. He is running through the house. All the children are happy today, and my brother isn’t an exception.
When we get older, we don’t have so many things to ask for and receive less presents. But Christmas is not about presents. It’s about the birth of Jesus. Many people think about spending time with their families and spending money on presents, but they forget the main reason for Christmas is Jesus.
I’ve already had lunch. My stepmother is baking the sweet things that I love. They taste good when you have them hot. Today it isn’t raining. It’s just very cold and I can see the sun behind the white clouds.
This year the tree has got few presents. Maybe because our country is facing a crisis we really need to save money for the essential things. My brother is the youngest person in the house – he is just 6 years old, so, of course, he is the one who receives more presents. I can’t say that he is lucky, because we all have already experienced that. Right?
When we are very young, we find material things very important , but when we grow up, we prefer small things that show the love we feel for each other.
I’m spending this Christmas with my father. My mother is helping at an association which gives dinner to homeless people. I hope she enjoys this new experience.
I’m now going to eat the Christmas sweets that I really love. Bye.

Christmas Time
This year it was amazing! I made lots of presents and I received many from my family.
Some weeks before Christmas I was very excited about presents and asked myself: What I am going to make for x person? It was difficult.
But when Christmas Day arrived, I could see a big smile in people’s faces who received a present from me. I was very happy.
At dinner time I ate codfish with boiled potatoes, boiled eggs and boiled vegetables. Wham! It was delicious!
Then I opened my presents at my grandmother’s. (so many presents!)
At 11 p.m. I came back home and my brother and I played with the new toys. It was late and I was sleepy. I went to my adorable and warm bed and fell asleep. I wish every Christmas was like this!

Valentine’s day
A new way to love
I found a new way to love
And not to be hurt.
I found the type of love
That gives people support,
Courage,
That makes them smile.
I found a new way to love
….
I found FRIENDSHIP.
